From Xinhua News Agency: (0717 CR M05) BEIJING-SHANGHAI HIGH-SPEED RAIL DATELINE: July 17, 2011 LENGTH: 00:00:42 VO China's railway authorities are to rearrange summer transportation on the high speed railway linking Beijing and Shanghai, saying efforts will be made to ensure trains arrive and leave on schedule. This comes only days after power outages and other malfunctions led to three delays on the newly-built railway. The high-speed rail began operation on June 30. It has carried an average of 165,000 passengers each day from July 1 to 13, with a peak of 197,000 people.
