From Xinhua News Agency: (0712 CR M10) NEW DATA RELAY SATELLITE DATELINE: July 12, 2011 LENGTH: 00:00:41 PIC China has blasted off its second data relay satellite "Tianlian I-02" at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest Sichuan Province. The satellite, developed by the China Academy of Space Technology, was launched on a Long March-3C carrier rocket on Monday night. China launched its first data relay satellite "Tianlian I-01" in 2008. According to the launch center, the two satellites will form a network to offer data relay, measurement and control for China's spacecraft and planned space stations.
