The market has talks that the city housing commission is mulling lifting purchasing restrictions on high-end housing. However, a senior official said on Wednesday that the commission has no plan to adjust housing purchasing restrictions. The official said that the city government would strictly implement national and city-level property cooling measures, including purchasing limits to meet the housing price control target. He said Beijing will not have different policies for housing at different grades according to their prices. The city authorities earlier this year rolled out measures to cool off the red-hot property market.
