Wimbledon 2009:Tim Henman tells grunting girls to cut it out
Britain's Laura Robson has lost in the first round at Wimbledon on her full Grand Slam debut. Robson, who won the girls' singles title at the All England Club 12 months ago, was given a wild card into the main draw this year and looked to face a tough task against former world number five Daniela Hantuchova. The 15-year-old marked the opening of the new Court Two in style by taking the first set 6-3 and leading 3-2 with a break in the second, before Hantuchova fought back to win 3-6 6-4 6-2. A number of double faults at crucial times proved Robson's undoing, but the youngster acquitted herself well and can now concentrate on retaining her junior title. Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova had to dig deep to overcome the challenge of Viktoriya Kutuzova in her opening-round clash on Court One. Sharapova, plagued by shoulder problems over the last year, looked out of sorts as she held on to win 7-5 6-4. Relieved to win, she said: "It's so wonderful after not playing tennis for such a long time. "To be on Court One at Wimbledon is unbelievable and I am so glad I pulled it out against a good opponent. "She is a very aggressive player and I was just trying to hold on. The shoulder is really good. This is my fourth tournament back and my body has responded really well."
