Why has Eric Bana retired his beast?
Eric Bana says his days of racing his 1974 Ford Falcon are over. The car is featured in his documentary Love The Beast. But despite tinkering with it for 26 years, it all ends in disaster when he crashes it during the five day Targa Rally in Tasmania. Eric said: " I paid the price for combining my love of race cars with an old classic vehicle. I won't be doing that again. The car is retired from competition. I'll just keep racing my other cars and leave this one out of the ring." But while motors are his passion, they are not the only one. The Hollywood actor added: "The beast does not come before Mrs Bana. She is the number one priority and allows me to indulge. We've been married for twelve years. She's very understanding."
