Why Eric Berry Should Win The Heisman

A video giving my view on Eric Berry and Heisman consideration. SOME NICE HIGHLIGHTS DURING AND AFTER THE CREDITS FOR UT FANS. Eric Berry had a terrific season in 2008, dispite the fact that the team went 5-7. He was the leader on a nationally-ranked top 10 defense and led the nation in INTs with 7. He also broke the SEC records for INT return yards in a season and in a career. The fact he surpassed the career mark midway through his Sophomore season is absolutely outstanding. He was eventually named a finalist for the Thorpe Trophy along with USC's Taylor Mays and Ohio State's Malcolm Jenkins To say he had the best statistics of the 3 finalists was an understatement. Dispite the fact he nearly doubled all of both finalists' stats, Jenkins won the Thorpe His stats were also remarkably similar to those of Charles Woodson's 1997 season, in which he controversially won the Heisman. He remains to this day the only defensive player to win the award.
