Breast cancer is when malignant (cancer) cells form in breast tissue. There are several types of breast cancer; the most common is called a ductal carcinoma. Risk factors for breast cancer include, but aren't limited to: older age, menstruating at an early age, a personal or family history of breast cancer, taking certain hormones, drinking alcohol, or having dense breasts. Symptoms of breast cancer include a lump in the breast, a change in size or shape of breast, or discharge from a nipple.
