Dior and Armani make the case for Haute Couture before celebrities and buyers as they kick off the round of fashion shows in the French capital.

Haute Couture shows are a dying breed as the practice which takes the most expensive and most exquisite materials to show to only a handful of woman is considered too frivolous for some. However, fashion houses in Paris and indeed the buyers themselves are fighting to keep the practice alive.
