Viva Espania - Spanish Family Business invests in Berlin

Spanish property investor Carlos is passionate about historic buildings and for the past two years has been cooperating with the German Meermann real estate group, and now owns 95 percent of it. He is president of Chamartin, which also builds new office buildings, hotels and congress centers to rent. The Berlin project has cost 600 million euros. Cutillas says the advantage of the German property market is that prices are relatively low and more stable than back home in Spain. He does not think that it will be affected by the international credit crunch. Alexa Meyer met the Spanish investor to find out why he has chosen Berlin and what fascinates him about Germany. This is the 6th in our investor series: "Welcome to Germany".
