Victims of Whitey Bulger seek damages from government

(NECN: Greg Wayland, Boston, Mass.) - They were victims of Boston's most notorious mobster. Now relatives of three of Whitey Bulger's victims want the government to pay for the deaths of their loved ones. They claim the FBI protected Buldger and an associate who were informants. Kevin Weeks began testifying Wednesday in lawsuits filed by the families who say the FBI is responsible because they protected and failed to control Bulger and his cohort, Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi. The families of Deborah Hussey, Debra Davis and Louis Litif are seeking unspecified damages. read more
