Van Gogh: rational, discipline, methodical

Oct. 7: Methodical, disciplined and rational. That's the new assessment of the character of Vincent Van Gogh on the publication of hundreds of his letters. The Dutch artist is more popularly known as a tormented genius who chopped off one of his own ears, but his correspondence shows how much his work was informed by reading and reflection. Some of the letters form a new exhibition at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. ITV's Elodie Harper reports. (Nightly News)
