USC Basketball Coach Tim Floyd Resigns Amid More Mayo Recruitment Woes

Trojans men's basketball coach Tim Floyd abruptly resigned late Tuesday night amid allegations that he gave $1,000 of "walking around money" for a Vegas trip to a man who helped encourage star PG OJ Mayo to attend USC. After 4 years leading the SC program, Floyd's submitted a one paragraph letter to AD Mike Garrett at 1pm Tuesday. The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson, Miss., first reported Floyd's resignation. He is from Hattiesburg.
