USA: Victoria's Secret rolls out the "pink" carpet for their new lingerie collection and the television reunion of the Spice Girls

Stars entered the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on a "pink" carpet on Thursday evening (November 15) , set for a night of sexy lingerie, beautiful women, and musical acts including the newly reunited Spice Girls, at the Victoria's Secret Annual Fashion Show. Various celebrities in attendance were excited to get a sneak peak of the Spice Girls upcoming world tour, set to start in December, but not to be upstaged was of course, the clothes, courtesy of the world's foremost retailer of sexy lingerie. "I think they do it with such, you know, it's born out of passion and you can really see it when you look at the brand and you watch the way they put this event together with such passion and integrity, and I think that's really what separates them from the rest, they celebrate women, they make women look fantastic, they're proud of it, and they spare no expenses when displaying that message," says Musician Seal, who performed at the fashion show, singing alongside his wife, supermodel Heidi Klum. Bras and panties embellished with Swarovski Crystals are part of the theme of this year's show, but certainly the showpiece of the new line is a 5 million U.S. dollar bra called the Very Sexy Holiday Fantasy Bra Gift Set, designed by world-renowned jeweler Mouawad, and worn by model Selita Ebanks. British pop superstars the Spice Girls were a huge hit at the event, which marks the first time the group will appear on television since reuniting for their current greatest hits album and upcoming world tour. Teaming up with Victoria's Secret simply made sense to the very feminine group, and their CD is currently only available for purchase in the United States at the retailer's store locations. "It's brilliant. We're really excited," says Melanie Chisholm of the Spice Girls, "you know, first and foremost, we're really excited about the tour, but tonight it's just a real treat to be able to be a part of such a great show with Victoria's Secret. "You know what, it just seems great," adds Victoria Beckham, "the support of Victoria's Secret has been fantastic, they have a great image, and it's just very in keeping with us, and we just love the brand." Preparing for their upcoming world tour, which begins on December 2nd in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has been easy for the Spice Girls, who easily fell back in to sync with each other during rehearsals. "No we've had so much fun together, we're like five old women gossiping and drinking cups of tea," says Spice Girl Melanie Brown. For some, like actress Hayden Panettiere, seeing the pop sensation's reunion performance brought back nostalgic memories of her childhood. "Oh yeah, I was a huge fan of the Spice Girls, I am so excited you have no idea," says Panettiere, "Spice Girls, Seal, Seal's not to shabby, I'll take him." But not everyone was excited to see the Spice Girls perform. "Oh that's right, someone told me about that. Yeah, I could take that or leave it," says former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. Absent from the show's line-up was rapper Kanye West, who cancelled his appearance due to the death of his mother last week. Replacing him on the line-up was Will.I.am of hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on the CBS television network December 4th.
