USA: Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana's latest film "Lucky You" premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival

"Lucky You" stars Drew Barrymore and Eric Bana dazzled on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday (May 1) for the film's worldwide premiere. Barrymore, who is rumoured to be dating director Spike Jonze, looked glamorous in a green tiered Dior gown and sparkling diamonds. While she wasn't commenting on her love life, the 32-year-old actress was beaming -- and just this month she was named People magazine's Most Beautiful Person. Starring along side Bana and Robert Duvall, Barrymore plays Billie Offer, a young singer whose heartfelt passions exceed her talent. Billie falls for Huck Cheever, a poker pro played by Bana, who is gambling to win the World Series of Poker. Billie and Huck both seem to have a knack for reading people -the difference is what they do with that gift. How does Barrymore, who also sang on-screen in "Music and Lyrics", feel about flexing her vocal chords in the film? "I'm very nervous always when it comes to singing, I'm miserable when I have to sing, but I'm very grateful that Curtis gave me the chance," she said. "There's one song I feel good about, the other one I don't know if I did as well, it was very hard note-wise. I just don't know if I hit the notes. But you know, I'm not supposed to be a brilliant singer, so at least it was a chance for me to face a fear and not do what I've done in the past which is say I can't do this. And I think you should never say that, and I've always regretted the one time that I did. So at least I got to step up face my fears and if I fall flat on my face who cares at least I tried," she added. Bana said that Barrymore is "an amazing singer," and that the actress is too hard on herself. Both actors said they enjoyed working with one another and that their chemistry and the mix of good writing helped them raise their game. The story takes a twist when their characters come together -- Billie's ability to read people's emotions contrasts Huck's expertise at avoiding them. For the first time Huck sees that the stakes in life can be higher than in poker, and if he really wants to win Billie's heart - he'll have to learn to live his life the way he has been playing cards. "There's an incredible gluttony but an amazing skill when it comes to Vegas and poker and people just make these crazy bets. And this is a girl who works really hard and values everything that she has and is living in a different extreme of life. But he is the mirror to her too and I think when two people bring out the best in each other while they're pointing out their flaws there's something very real in that in a love story, rather than just, 'oh you're so great, let's be together," Barrymore explained. "Lucky You" hits theaters in North America on Friday, May 4. The Tribeca Film Festival will continue to run in New York through May
