The two lead stars and the director of "Spider-Man 3" said in interviews in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (April 19) that Sony's super hero would return to the screen in a fourth adventure if the three all commit. "You know if there is great story to tell, there is something really interesting for Peter Parker to go and Sam is involved and the right cast is there then I would definitely consider it," Tobey Maguire, who portrays Peter Parker and Spider-Man in the film told Reuters. Reports of a possible fourth instalment to the billion dollar franchise have been circulating since the cast launched the film with a world premiere in Tokyo, Japan last week. "Spider-man 4' will probably happen if Sam and Tobey are willing to do it then I am too. It's just dependent on us three coming together," said actress Kirsten Dunst, who portrays the lead character Mary Jane Watson. Entertainment Weekly magazine cited the trilogy's director Sam Raimi as confirming a long-held Hollywood rumour that he might direct a movie version of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" if "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson is not eventually hired. "I am sure that Sony Pictures are going to make a 'Spider-man 4' and I think they are in early stages of development of the idea right now. I am not attached and I think that is still open," said "Spider-Man 3" Director Sam Raimi. Meanwhile, Maguire's co-star and one time lady love Kirsten Dunst was gushing about how happy she is for the Maguire as a new father. "Well you know its nice to see him, it's nice to see people who you care about find love and have children. I mean that's what love is about so I am so happy for him and he is definitely like settled you know more calm, a little older," said Dunst who was wearing a tan Miu Miu dress. Ruby Sweetheart Maguire was born November 10, 2006 to Maguire and his fiancé Jennifer Meyer daughter of Universal Pictures head Ron Meyer. Maguire admits that his first born is too young to understand what it means that her dad is Spider-man, but he did show her the costume. "She wasn't even born when I shot the bulk of it but she was around , she was like two and half months when I shot a little piece of it and actually she was on the set when I had the headless , you know I had the suit on without the mask on, you know she did see me as 'Spider-man'," Maguire told Reuters. Fans turned the first two into 822 million U.S. dollar (USD) and 784 million (USD) world-wide grossers, respectively, and audiences will add to those totals when "Spider-man 3" opens in the United States May
