US troops are handing over responsibility to their Iraqi counterparts and pulling out of the country's major cities.A public holiday - National Sovereignty Day - had been declared, but celebrations were marred by a car bomb in Kirkuk, which killed at least 25 people.Jim Muir reports from Baghdad.
