While the controversy surrounding Madonna's adoption process of Malawian baby boy David Banda continues, that didn't stop her from releasing family-style photographs: one with Madonna, baby David and her two other children, Lourdes (9) and Rocco (6). The second photo revealed Guy Ritchie holding onto a smiling baby David. "You know if she can get something back to the society and if she can give a child a good life, why not. It's only a pity that a laws here are so strict that she couldn't adopt a child from here," said a women walking past Madonna's central London home. Also agreeing with Madonna's adoption is the pop star's neighbour while her friend has a different opinion: "I think she was wrong to be honest. Because I don't know how she did it. If it was legit it would be fine, but if it wasn't then." Another man said Madonna is no different then the general public and should be treated like that. "She might be famous or millionaire but she is still entitled to adopt a child or whatever she wants to do." Meanwhile the father of the African boy that Madonna plans to adopt has pleaded with the singer not to send his child back to Malawi, saying he still supports her bid to take custody of his son. On Friday (October 27) the Malawi Court is due to rule on application by human rights group to stop Madonna from adopting a one-year-old boy, saying the adoption was illegal and could amount to officially sanctioned child trafficking.
