There's a new star in town and she's auditioning for a spot at Madame Tussauds in London. Christina Aguilera's wax figure is joining celebrities at the museum's Blush room from Thursday (November 30, 2006) in her brand-new 1920s-style powder room, lit by vanity mirrors and shimmer curtains, just like the one from her latest video 'Ain't No Other Man'. The glamour singer's 'chamber' comes with a difference - it's an interactive powder room where visitors have the chance to power through one of Christina's classic hits by picking up a Diamante hairbrush microphone that activates a sing-along, or for those who prefer not to sing, dance-along video playing from inside her mirror. It's an opportunity for Christina-wannabes to strut their stuff and impress other celebrities, including 'X-Factor' judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. 14-year-old Christina fan Esther Langley gave it a go, saying "I love the song, I don't know all the lyrics perfectly but yeah I'm sort of singing along to it." According to Madame Tussauds' spokesperson, Ben Lovett, it was long overdue for Christina Aguilera to get her own waxwork at the museum. "Guests have been asking so much because she is so, so massive now. And you know with people like Madonna here and up to now not having Christina - it just makes sense to bring her in, we're really pleased," he said. And the interactive element seems to work - Esther was impressed: "It was just so cool to be next to Christina Aguilera, she's so life-like, so it was really good."
