International Boxing Federation champion Vladimir Klitschko has again said that his aim is to unify the heavyweight boxing title. Speaking at a news conference in which his older brother Vitali said it was too early for his own comeback, Klitschko said, "At this stage, I am a champion and if I get the chance to have all the titles unified, I would certainly prefer that sort of bout rather than defending my title against Ray Austin. But if the titles are not unified, then I will take on Austin to defend my title." Klitschko's latest defence of his title ended when he knocked out American Calvin Brock in New York on November 11. Born in Kazakhstan, but representing Ukraine, Klitschko would prefer his next fight to be against one of the other three world champions rather than Ray Austin, the number one challenger for his IBF crown. The WBA title is currently held by Nikolai Valuev of Russia. Oleg Maskaev of Kazakhstan is the WBC champion and American Shannon Briggs holds the WBO crown.
