It was full-on glitz and glamour in London's Royal Albert Hall on Thursday (October 18) when fashion met music in aid of charity. Fashion Rocks brought together an impressive list of celebrities from both worlds to raise money for the Prince's Trust, the Prince of Wales' charity. Kate Moss provided the sparkle in a 1920s-style flapper dress dripping with 60,000 Swarovski crystal beads in silver, grey and antique green. The dress will be auctioned on eBay from Friday morning with proceeds going to the Prince's Trust. It was made by Topshop, for whom Moss has designed her own clothes range. Britain's Royal Family was represented by Princess Beatrice, daughter of prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. She wore a pale embroidered gown by Marchesa. She told Reuters TV: " "I think it's such a big industry that I think that anything they can do to help other industries such as charity is a great opportunity and it's a great evening to dress up and enjoy some of the greatest rock stars as well as some of the greatest fashion designers." Event host Uma Thurman also went for the see-through option in a black dress covered in crystals. Other stars on the red carpet included Dame Shirley Bassey, Yasmin Le Bon, and the Sugarbabes. Amongst the artist and designer pairs were Donatella Versace with Iggy Pop, Armani with Alicia Keys, Lily Allen with Chanel and Brit Band Razorlight with Burberrys. Mario Valentino who only recently retired received a special award and told Reuters he was looking forward to doing some travelling in his sparetime: "January is going to be my last collection ...I think I like to leave the room full of people (i.e. leave at the top of my career when things are still good) I want to take care of myself and travel , I never have time to travel" The triple platinum selling Sugarbabes, who've been riding the UK singles and album charts at number one turned up for a special performance and former supermodel claudia Schiffer was invited to present Chanel.
