It was mayhem on London's Leicester Square as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived together for Jolie's latest movie premiere 'Beowulf'. Fellow castmembers Crispin Glover, Ray Winstone, and Anthony Hopkins were also there, but the couple were undoubtedly the main attraction of the evening. It was a movie premiere with most of the cast attending, but the focus was all on Hollywood's golden couple. Angelina Jolie on Sunday (November 11) brought her beau Brad Pitt to the London premiere of 'Beowulf' and stirred up some excitement amongst the thousands of fans who turned up to see 'Brangelina' for themselves. And Jolie appeared to enjoy the attention: "It's amazing, everything about this, it feels surreal, they always do these premieres but it's so nice and I really do like this movie so I'm exited", she said about the London premiere. When asked about the intense media interest in her private life over the past year, Jolie said: "We kind of ignore it, we don't read those magazines or watch those shows so the good news is I don't really know what's going on." Also present were fellow castmembers Ray Winstone, Crispin Glover, and Anthony Hopkins. Whilst Hopkins did not have much to say to the media, Winstone and Glover were complementary about both the premiere and working with Angelina Jolie: "It's actually much more festive than the premiere in Los Angeles. They made it into a ritual sort of thing so that's a lot of fun", said Glover. Asked what it was like to kiss Angelina Jolie, Winstone told Reuters Television: "She's a lovely kisser and she's a lovely woman, a beautiful woman and a great actress" 'Beowulf' , directed by Robert Zemeckis used a special technique called "digitally enhanced live action" to give the epic poem new life. The technology of digitally enhanced live action uses an advanced form of motion capture to render the film as a three dimensional cartoon effect. The end result will be to project the film in 3-D in theatres and IMAX. In the retelling of the Anglo-Saxon tale, "Beowulf" pits the hero against the evil Grendel, played by Crispin Glover, and his equally wicked mother, played by the semi-clad Angelina Jolie. With such an expansive cast, a new visual technique, and a timeless tale, Hollywood pundits have already tagged "Beowulf" as a strong Oscar contender for feature animated film. Movie-goers will get the chance to critique the 150 million U.S. dollar (USD) project with the film's wide release on November 16.
