UK economy downturn 'frightening'
The British Chambers of Commerce has described the British economy as "frightening, ominous and truly awful".Business leaders warned of a "very serious recession ahead", despite many firms bringing in shorter hours to save money and jobs.Gavin Hewitt reports.
