UFC 91 Brock Lesnar versus Randy Couture Quick Hitter with Dana Ward from Gamblers Television

On Saturday November 15th a fight, for the UFC Heavyweight Title as the Champion Randy Couture takes on the challenger Brock Lesnar. UFC 91 will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be available to viewers on Pay-Per-View. Randy Couture has a professional record of 16 wins and 8 losses with 7 victories by knockout. Couture won the UFC Heavyweight Title back on March of 2007 by earning a unanimous decision over Tim Sylvia. The Champion has 1 successful title defense as he defeated Gabriel Gonzaga by strikes back in August of 2007. Couture has notable wins against the big names in the business such as Chuck Lidell and Tito Ortiz. Couture sports a Greco-Roman Wrestling style and is an excellent ground and pound fighter. Couture is 45 years old and will be facing a bigger opponent who is 14 years younger. Now to the other side of the Octagon Brock Lesnar enters UFC 91 after posting an impressive victory over Heath Herring by unanimous decision. Heading into the Herring fight Lesnar was coming off a loss to Frank Mir and his critics doubted whether Lesnar could be a main event fighter in the UFC. But Lesnar answered his critics by dominating from start to finish against the Heavyweight contender Herring, which earned him a title match. Lesnar lacks experience in the Octagon as he has only 3 professional fights. Lesnar is a former NCAA Wrestling champion and spent 4 years wrestling professionally with the WWE. He announced his intentions to enter MMA in April of 2006 and made his debut 13 months later. A check of the odds here show Brock Lesnar the minus 130 favorite with the underdog Randy Couture returning even money. UFC fans are wondering if the challengers strength and quickness can overcome the champions experience. At 265 pounds Lesnar is 45 pounds heavier than Couture. Tim Sylvia stood 6 foot 8 inches and 260 pounds in his defeat against Couture but Sylvia was a stand up striker while Lesnar possesses wrestling skills.
