TRANSPORT: Pedestrian killed on Victoria station crossing because lights were not synchronised correctly

When Iveta Iravanian was knocked down and killed on a pedestrian crossing near Victoria station her husband was convinced that the phasing of the lights was out. He said there was not enough time for her to get across safely. Today traffic consultants told him he was right. The crossing fails to comply with government safety standards.
