Torsten Slok Sees 8% U.S. Jobless Rate, Global Recession
Torsten Slok, an economist at Deutsche Bank AG, and Jessica Hoversen, a fixed-income and currency analyst at MF Global Ltd., talk with Bloomberg's Betty Liu about U.S. weekly initial jobless claims data released today, the economy and outlook for the October employment report due out tomorrow. Some 481,000 American workers, more than anticipated, filed first-time claims for unemployment benefits last week and total jobless rolls climbed to the highest level in 25 years, the Labor Department said.
