Tom Cruise did not disappoint his fans when he attended the premiere of Valkyrie in South Korea. Cruise, who is famously generous with his time when meeting the crowds, signed hundreds of autographs and posed for photographs in the capital Seoul. Valkyrie sees him star as Claus von Stauffenberg, the German army colonel who led the unsuccessful plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944. Cruise said: "As a child, and studying this history and looking at the documentaries which I saw growing up, I always wondered why didn't someone stand up and try to stop him. "It has certainly changed my life, just knowing that there were people who tried to stop him." The shoot ran into trouble in Germany when the government banned him from filming in some public buildings because of his Scientologist beliefs.
