Dana Ward from http://www.GamblersTelevision.com Hello pro football fans from our Rockstar studio this is Dana Ward here with our NFL Injury Report for the sports betting public as well as Fantasy Football players. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Bradys 2008 season is over. The 2007 NFL Most Valuable Player suffered a knee injury that will require season ending surgery during the Patriots win on Sunday. Chief defender Bernard Pollard blitzed from his safety position and was blocked to the ground by running back Sammy Morris in the backfield. Upon second effort the Chief defender extended his body at Brady. Pollards upper body made contact on Bradys knee as the quarterbacks legs was extended in the throwing motion causing the serious injury. AND JUST LIKE THAT, in a blink of an eye Tom Bradys season is over. Former USC backup quarterback Matt Cassell will take over the starters role. Cassell is entering his 4th year in the league and in relief of Brady on Sunday he completed 13 of 18 passes for 152 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions. New England travels to play Bret Favre and the NY Jets on Sunday with the Jets a 2-½ point favorite. Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young suffered a knee injury in their week 1 victory over Jacksonville. Young was seen on crutches following the game and initial media reports suggested that the Titan QB sprained his MCL on his left knee, which would sideline him 2 to 4 weeks. Young is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. Tennessee travels to Cincinnati on Sunday and the Bengals are a 1-point favorite. Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber suffered bruised ribs on Sunday during their win at Cleveland. Reports are that Barber suffered cartilage damage in his ribcage but did not suffer any fractures. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday that he expects his star running back to play through pain during the next few weeks. Barber told reporters after the game on Sunday that he didnt think his injury was serious and he should be available to play on Monday Night Football against their NFC East rival the Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas is a 6-½ point favorite. That will do it for todays NFL injury report.
