The Wordl's Lowest Marathon Reaches High Peaks In Tiberias

A record 1000 competitors participated in the Tiberias marathon on Thursday, dubbed the lowest marathon in the world. Jordanian runners also participated in the event.Leonard Mucheru of Kenya won the marathon in a record time of two hours ten minutes and thirty seconds, receiving the $40,000 prize. The Tiberias marathon in some stretches descend to 200 meters below sea level and is dubbed the lowest marathon in the world.01/13/08
