The Israel-Hizbullah Prisoner Exchange Begins

At 4am on Wednesday morning the Israel Prison Authority transfered convicted terrorist Samir Kuntar and four other Hizbullah militants from their prison cells inside of Israel to the Liman military base near the northern border in preparation for the prisoner swap. The swap is set to take place at 9am on Wednesday morning and involves the exchange of 5 Lebanese prisoners and the bodies of 199 dead Lebanese fighters in return for abducted IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. Despite contradicting reports from Hizbullah and the Israeli government, the condition of the two Israeli soldiers is still unknown. 07/16/08
