States to decide on credit legislation?

Oct. 21: The House Financial Services Committee will take a final vote on President Barack Obama’s efforts to establish a Consumer Financial Protection Agency in which states would be able to impose their own set of regulations in regards to credit cards, mortgages and other loans. A Morning Meeting panel discusses the push by Republicans and some conservative Democrats to scale back on the power of the agency. (Other)
