Katherine Jenkins, Jamelia, Beverley Knight and Brian Friedman are just some of those who have sent messages of support to Leona Lewis. The X Factor winner was punched during her book signing in London. A man has now been charged with assault and sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Leona told fans on her website that the attack left her "extremely hurt and upset". She added: "I'm very sorry to those I wasn't able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages." Brian Friedman, who choreographed Leona's performances on The X Factor, said: "I don't understand why anyone would want to hit her. She's a princess." Katherine Jenkins shared his sentiments. She said: "I don't know what's going on in the world. I send my sympathies to her. It shouldn't have been allowed to happen."
