Sports Definitely Not for The Birds: Randy Johnson Declares War on a Dove

When Shin Soo Choo of the Cleveland Indians hit a seagull with a base hit, last week, the result was a damaged but not dead bird and a winning run for the hometown Indians. It got us thinking about other bird vs. athlete incidents. Up first, Sir Alfred Hitchcock directs us to watch Randy Johnson’s explosive pitch that took out a dove in spring training 2001. (Good things resulted for Johnson’s Arizona Diamondbacks that season; they won the World Series.)
