Spice Girls Forever again

Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell has described the reunion of the Spice Girls as old school friends getting together again.The 35-year-old said the group were all a little older and wiser now and felt like they had been given a second chance with the launch of their worldwide reunion tour and new album.The star also revealed that the group's comeback single will be a ballad called Headlines and said: "Its a Spice Girl classic. We are so proud of it. We started putting words down before we even had the finalised yes from everyone."Geri, who famously quit the group in 1998 only hinted at past rifts between the five members of the band when she admitted it was difficult to balance work with friendship.She said: "It's fantastic hanging with girls you really like but there are pressures of work to go with it so it's about finding that balance. It's like planning a wedding..."But Geri insisted the tour was a tribute to their loyal followers: "This reunion is about the fans and us celebrating the past," she said.Tickets for their December 15 gig reportedly sold out in just 38 seconds and the Girls have added two new dates to the UK leg of their tour. Tickets for the gigs on January 15 and 16 at the 02 Arena in London will go on sale at 10am on October 6.The Spice Girls comeback tour kicks off in Canada on December 2 and the new album is out on November 12 , with the single being released a week later.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
