South America fights commercial whaling - 29 June 2008

The International Whaling Commission has wrapped up its meeting in Chile with whale hunters and whale lovers still at odds. The divided commission could not convince Japan to end its slaughter of 1000 whales each year. And member's also side-stepped calls from Latin American nations for a South Atlantic whale sanctuary. Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports from Argentina's Valdes Peninsula, one of the world's biggest whale-breeding grounds.
