Sic Transit Gloria

Set in a flesh-and-blood hall of mirrors that might be an emotional slaughterhouse or maybe a hallucinated nightclub, this is twisted pop with a pretzel-like video to match. The latest single from this New York emo outfit packs a jolt of mad punk energy in the chorus, coupled with verses that are an enchanting swamp of funky bass burbling, layered guitars and melodic yelping vocals. What does it all mean? Lord knows, but this cool cut off their Deja Entendu CD is glorious.
