
10th degree black belt, three-time World International Full-contact champion, and USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee Milan Shelden has more than four decades of martial arts experience and eight black belts in diverse styles to show for it. He has channeled that experience into a new self-defense philosophy called Shou Yuan Chuan or "Small Circling Fist" In this series, Master Shelden demonstrates the principles of Shou Yuan Chuan by enhancing the basic techniques of Bok Fu Do (White Tiger,) making them more efficient, effective, and adaptable to the street. Applying joint locks (Jiu Jitsu,) opponent control (Aikido,) and directed striking methods, Master Shelden teaches a more effective method of avoiding confrontation by using the opponent's actions against them. In this video, Master Shelden teaches the basics of Shou Yuan Chou including basic stances, strikes, blocks, and kicks.
