Shipping index predicts economy
The Baltic Dry Index is a measure for the demand for space on cargo ships which carry commodities like Coal, Grain, Steel and Iron Ore.It has also proved to be a very effective indicator of what could be happening in the economy in six months time.Nick Cosgrove reports.
