Sex and the City stars hit London

Sex and the City's New York stars hit London for the world premiere of the movie.First to arrive on the red carpet was Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing a pale green dress by Alexander McQueen, with her shoes and bag by the same designer.The outfit was pure Carrie, her character in the show, so the crowd were not wrong when they shouted: "We want Carrie," rather than the actress' name.Co-star Kim Cattrall, in a Vivienne Westwood creation, said she was delighted to be in London."In the four years since the series ended, I have been spending a lot of time with friends and family in Britain and working here. I even have an Oyster card."Asked if she would be willing to do a sequel, she said: "Perhaps."Cynthia Nixon, who plays lawyer Miranda Hobbes, arrived wearing a floor-length low-cut pleated black Calvin Klein dress.She spoke to fans, but carefully avoided the media.Kristin Davis, who plays art dealer Charlotte York Goldenblatt, was the last of the foursome to arrive, wearing a cherry-red vintage sleeveless dress and cream peep-toe heels.Other famous faces on the red carpet included Alex Curran in a pink satin minidress, Michelle Ryan in a super-tight purple dress, and Tess Daly, wearing a one-shoulder puff-sleeved gold stripy dress with brown platform shoes.Asked why the premiere was in London and not New York, where the series is set, Parker said: "We decided to have it here and we're delighted to be here."The film is released in the UK on May 28.
