Seventy Year Old Grandmother Didn't Stand A Chance - Rocket Exploded Next To Her Killing Her Outright

70 year old grandmother Shuli Katz didn't stand a chance, while visiting Moshav Yesha in the western Negev on Monday evening a Kassam rocket exploded two meters from where she stood, killing her outright. Katz became the second Israeli civilian in 72 hours killed by a rocket. sraeli security officials declared that the lack of a military response to the recent events which claimed the lives of two Israelis shows that Israel has lost its deterrence capability. While in recent months senior IDF commanders and Defense Minister Ehud Barak hinted that a full scale military operation in Gaza was only a matter of time, up until now the government echelon appears to be hesitant in giving the army the green light to go ahead. 05/13/08
