Scrapping cars to boost the economy

Giving car owners money for scrapping cars at least nine years old is just one of the German government's growth-boosting measures - and car dealerships say the incentive has already had an impact on sales. This will come as good news to Germany's car makers, an important part of the country's export-driven economy, which have been hit hard by the economic crisis and have cut jobs, extended holiday periods and temporarily closed some factories.
