Saving Culture Increases Stock Investment

"It’s surprising, active investors are at their most confident for the last 3.5 years," Anabel Brodie Smith from the Association of Investment Companies told CNBC Monday. One reason for this is that "we've sort of gone from a culture of spending to looking at saving a bit more," she added, saying that "unappealing" bank rates are prompting sophisticated investors to look to stocks for income.
