RUGBY UNION WORLD CUP 2007: Springboks meet Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela has met the Rugby World Cup winning Spingboks in Soweto. South Africa's largest black township was left out of plans for the original victory tour: the outcry that followed meant the parade was re-routed, but bad weather kept the numbers down. The former president said the Springboks had "put South Africa on the map".
