Royal Marines in pay row due to administrative error

Under attack from the Taliban, half a world away from home and just weeks before Christmas, thousands of Royal Marines fighting in Afghanistan are having their morale sorely tested, by a row over pay. An administrative error meant the marines were told they would receive a three-thousand pound bonus. Now the Ministry of Defence (MOD) says they will not be getting the money. That decision was today called "shameful".
