Arnold Klingeis has been in charge of constructing the church, situated close to his eight-room hotel, 2,000 metres (6,500 ft) above sea level. The area is only accessible by cable car during the winter. "The idea is that people who come here to enjoy the mountain and the nature now has a place to pray and find peace," Klingeis said. The church which is an icy copy of an old Transylvanian Catholic church, was built in four weeks at the total cost of about 7,000 euros. Priests are happy with the construction. "I welcome this church. It's one more place where Christians can come to pray and listen to God's word," Kurt Boltrest, a priest, said. Workers used snow and ice from a nearby lake to build the church.
