A host of famous faces helped footballers Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole celebrate their first foray into the film world. Mel B, Tinchy Stryder, Lisa Maffia and Jamelia were just some of the stars who turned up to the premiere of Dead Man Running in London's Leicester Square. The Manchester United and Chelsea players helped to finance the movie and are credited as executive producers. Rio admitted he didn't think he'd ever be involved in a film. He said: "I used to write my name on film posters in my bedroom. When this opportunity came my way, fortunately it ticked all the boxes." Ashley added: "I don't think it's about me or Rio, it's about the actors who put their hard work into it. So hopefully people can enjoy it." The 28-year-old walked the red carpet without his wife Cheryl Cole, but said they would be celebrating this weekend if her new single makes it to number one. Dead Man Running is a crime thriller starring Tamer Hassan, Danny Dyer and 50 Cent. The US hip hop star wowed crowds by turning up in a white Rolls Royce.
