The poet reads from his book, soon to be distributed, poems written from his experience as a practicing criminal defense attorney in Oakland, CA, where, as he puts it, there is "plenty of business". If I ever get busted in Oakland, I want this gentleman to represent me. Since I don't expect to be arrested there or anywhere else (he said with crossed fingers), I'll just study these words and they will keep me out of trouble, legal and otherwise. These poems were read to the Red Barn audience on the second day of three, as part of Ecstatique, a poetry and music extravaganza jointly produced by Byron Coley and Green Panda Press, in Amherst, MA, November 2007. Also check out the readings by Charles Potts and John Oliver Simon and others on this program.
