Register of Lobbyists

The European Commission will inaugurate its register of interest representatives, i.e. organisations involved in influencing the policy formulation and decision making of the European institutions. This register will be available online and can be freely consulted by the public. Linked with this register, the Commission has adopted a code of conduct setting out clear and precise rules to guide the activities of lobbyists in their dealings with the Commission. Acceptance of the code of conduct is a requirement for entry in the register. To illustrate this, the European Commission's audiovisual unit is preparing an infoclip which will contain footage of: - statement by Catherine Steward, President of Interel Cabinet Stewart; - statement by Bruno Duport, President of Euralia; - statement by Olivier Consolo, President of Concord.
