Raw sound: Boston Fire spokesman confirms crash fatality

(NECN) - Boston Fire officials announced Friday afternoon that a firefighter was killed when his ladder truck crashed into an apartment building. Fire Department spokesman Steve McDonald said the firefighter was one of four people riding on Ladder 26 as it left a medical call on Parker Hill Ave. The driver of the truck apparently lost control of the vehicle - whish struck an early learning center in the first floor of the building. Four children in the center were taken to hospitals for evaluation, but none were believed to be injured. read more
