Queen Elizabeth's bills, a Royal pain for taxpayers

June 29: The middle of a recession might not be the best time to ask for a pay rise but the Queen may be forced to do just that. Last year's royal accounts show Her Majesty had to use up £6 million of a reserve fund to meet her living costs. If she carries on at the same rate ,the fund could run out within three years.
