President's Approval Rating in South Korea

"Don't worry friend, at least your rating is higher than mine." *President Lee Myung Bak's approval rating has been tumbling down since his inauguration in February, due to the publics backlash over the import of U.S. beef. Despite the assurance form Korea's agriculture minister announcing that the beef is now safe from mad cow disease, thousands of protesters staged a candlelight vigil and demonstrated accusing President Lee of risking the heath of the citizens. This backlash may be effecting Lee's drop down of the approval rating into the 20's. Not to mention that leaders of Japan and the United States are also suffering from their tumbling approval rating.
